By accessing or using MrCareerz, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform.

2. Description of Service

MrCareerz is a job matching platform that connects job seekers with recruiters. We provide tools for job discovery, application management, and communication between candidates and employers.

3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
• Harass, discriminate against, or abuse other users
• Post spam or unsolicited communications
• Attempt to access other users' accounts
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose
• Scrape or harvest data from the platform

5. Content Guidelines

All job postings must be for legitimate employment opportunities. Recruiters must accurately represent the positions and companies they represent. Job seekers must provide truthful information in their profiles and applications.

6. Privacy

Your use of MrCareerz is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you submit to MrCareerz. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and share it as necessary to provide our services.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

9. Disclaimers

MrCareerz is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that you will find employment or candidates through our platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

MrCareerz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the platform or by email.

13. Intro videos and recorded content

By uploading an intro video to your candidate profile:

• You confirm you are the person appearing in the video and that the recording is your own work.
• You grant MrCareerz a limited, revocable license to store, process, and share the video with hiring teams we match you to, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• You understand the video may be processed by AI systems for the purpose of candidate-role matching only. AI processing does not analyze facial features, infer protected characteristics, or generate any "hireability" or appearance-based score.
• You can revoke this license at any time by deleting the video from your profile or by emailing info@mrcareerz.com.

We may decline to publish or share an intro video if it contains content that violates our content guidelines (hate speech, harassment, explicit content, or misrepresentation of identity).

14. Anti-discrimination

MrCareerz is committed to fair and lawful matching practices under the South African Employment Equity Act and POPIA. Our matching engine evaluates candidates only on role-relevant attributes (skills, experience, seniority, location, salary, timezone). We do not score or rank candidates based on protected characteristics, and we do not use AI to infer or analyze such characteristics from any media you upload.

If you are a hiring team using our platform and you require us to filter on protected characteristics for any role, we will decline the brief. We expect hiring teams using MrCareerz to make selection decisions on the same basis: role-relevant fit only.

15. Account deletion and data retention

You can delete your candidate account at any time from your profile settings or by emailing info@mrcareerz.com. Upon deletion:

• Your profile is removed from active matching within 7 days.
• Your CV, intro video, and other uploaded media are purged from our storage within 30 days.
• Any share links containing your candidate package are invalidated immediately.
• Anonymized aggregate analytics (e.g. "we matched X candidates this month") may be retained for operational reporting but cannot be linked back to you.

Inactive accounts (no logins, no profile updates, no consented matches) are automatically marked for retention review after 12 months and may be deleted.
